1) INSULITE’S NUTRACEUTICAL FORMULAS
Effective metabolic change that supports the reversal of insulin resistance cannot be achieved with a single ingredient. A comprehensive program that includes several scientifically-designed formulas is recommended to help you manage your type 2 diabetes more effectively.
In recent years, new research has led many members of the medical community to begin to embrace the need for and benefits of taking nutritional supplements. Increasingly, the benefits of specific vitamins, minerals, and accessory nutrients in joint health have become apparent.
For example, studies indicate that magnesium deficiency disrupts our energy metabolism, which can have negative consequences for joints. Yet research indicates that as few as one in four of us have a dietary intake of magnesium that meets RDA levels. Since magnesium helps us process sugar, we can see how deficiencies in just one mineral such as magnesium can have dramatically negative effects for those of us with joint problems.
Research now clearly demonstrates that deficiencies in vitamins and minerals such as chromium, alpha lipoic acid, magnesium, vitamin B, zinc and vitamin D can lead to disruptions in your metabolism... and eventually difficulty with our maintenance and repair functions.
We urge you to view the video and page, Why Nutraceuticals to learn more about why specific nutrients and minerals are so vital to maintaining your health.
The formulas of the Insulite System for Healthy Joints are designed to support the basic metabolism of joints and metabolism associated with healthy weight. The Insulite System features these formulations to help put you on the path to better health.
The Insulite System for Healthy Joints is intended to be used as a system. While the nutrient supplement component of this plan is intended to provide nutrients important to the structural and functional needs of the body, we do not believe that supplements alone are sufficient to achieve positive health outcomes. Thus, the nutrient and functional food component of our plan is intended to be used in conjunction with a full self-care regimen of dietary changes, exercise, physical activity (Life in Motion), craving/addiction awareness, stress management, and community support.
Our functional foods contain vitamins, minerals, accessory food factors, and phytonutrients that support some of the biochemical events that are commonly reported in studies of people who complain of joint discomfort.
1) FlexX: Serving size 3 capsules
Helps support cartilage and joint function. Flex-X joint support supplies chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate for joint comfort. This formula is also enriched in a bioavailable form of hyaluronic acid, which is a known constituent of healthy joints. Flex-X also contains 5-Lipoxin and a highly absorbable green tea phytosome, which provide anti-oxidant nutrients to support joint protection.
BioCell Collagen II 1000mg (hydrolyzed collagen, chondrotin sulfate, hyaluronic acid)
Glucosamine Sulfate 250 mg
5-Loxin 30 mg (Boswellia serrata standardized for 30% AKBA)
HIDROX (olive oil extract 6%) 100 mg
Green tea leaf (Camellia sinenses Phytosome) 200 mg
2) InsulX
Because joint discomfort is commonly associated with unhealthy blood sugar regulation, a formula has been included that provides nutrients that support healthy blood sugar levels. InsulX also contains nutrients that have been shown in test tube, animal, and human studies to slow or block the process of glycation (damaging sugar-protein interactions).
Vanadium (Sulfate) - Restores blood glucose, lowers cholesterol, increases insulin sensitivity, improves glucose tolerance and metabolism, decreases body fat and reduces appetite naturally [remove].
Chromium (GTF Niacinate) - Supports insulin binding to cells and decreases cholesterol and insulin levels. Boosts insulin response to glucose.
Alpha Lipoic Acid – ALA is a central molecule in the biochemical steps that help convert glucose into energy.
Magnesium (as magnesium taurate) – Magnesium is the central element in all reactions involving ATP (our energy currency). Magnesium is also involved in multiple steps that human cells use to break down sugars.
Taurine - (could also use Mg glycinate and a separate taurine, due to cost)
Zinc (Picolinate) - Lowers insulin concentration and improves insulin sensitivity.
L-Carnitine (Tartrate) – Carnitine is part of the biochemical transport system that allows humans to carry fats in order that fats can be burned as fuel.
Copper (Citrate) - Balances zinc and supports its ability to lower insulin concentration.
Calcium (Citrate/Malate) - Reduces fasting insulin levels, increases insulin sensitivity and regulates fat tissue.
Biotin USP - Involved in the body’s central energy process called the TCA (tricarboxylic acid cycle). Biotin is also a cofactor required for the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids.
Manganese (Citrate)
Pancreatic Tissue - Contains specific amino acids in the correct proportions to supply growth, balance and repair factors of the pancreas[remove].
Adrenal Tissue - Contains specific amino acids to supply growth, balance and repair factors of the adrenals [remove].
Protease and Amylase - Improve absorption and digestion of proteins and nutrient absorption.
SUPPLEMENT FACTS

3) RejuvenX
RejuvenX is a combination of nutrients, accessory food factors, and phytonutrients that support healthy blood sugar metabolism, healthy cholesterol metabolism, and antioxidant function.
Vitamin C from calcium ascorbate - Balances Vitamin C deficiency that induces disordered glucose regulation, improves glucose tolerance and scavenges free radicals.
CoQ10 (Ubiquinone) – CoQ10 is fundamental to cellular energy production. It is only available in the diets in trace amounts. Certain medications, such as statins, can interfere with coenzyme Q10 synthesis within the body.
Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) - Reduces neuropathy associated with Diabetes, sorbitol accumulation, muscle weakness and tingling.
Folic Acid (Calcium Folinate) – Provides methyl groups for multiple biochemical reactions. Supports healthy homocystein levels.
Quercitin -
Bilberry Extract – Supports healthy circulation and anti-oxidant activity.
Grape Seed Extract – Grape seed extract anti-oxidant properties are 20 to 50 times stronger than Vitamins C and E.) Lowers cholesterol levels and prevents damage to the artery from elevated glucose and insulin levels.
Riboflavin – Riboflavin (vitamin B2, as riboflavin-5-phosphate)
Thiamin - Thiamin (Vitamin B1) (as thiamin pyrophosphate) Thiamin is central to generating energy from carbohydrate, fat, and protein. Thiamin has been shown to protect proteins from glycation.
Pyridoxamine - A form of B6 that has been shown to protect proteins from glycation. Helps support healthy homocysteine levels.
Vitamin D - Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) Vitamin D plays a role in bone health and has an important role in immunity, wound healing, and hypertension. Vitamin D may also be known to affect insulin secretion and glucose tolerance in Type 2 diabetes.
Cinnamon Extract - A recent controlled trial (1), comparing a placebo against cinnamon, demonstrated that doses of cassia cinnamomum ranging from 1-6 grams a day provided in divided daily doses all produced some significant reductions in blood sugar levels, total cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels and finally even lower levels of LDL lipoproteins. Rejuvenx provides 1.2 grams cinnamon per dose.

4) Meta-OmegaX: Serving size 2 gel caps
Omega- 3 fatty acids such as EPA and DHA have been extensively studied for their role in cell membrane integrity and the inflammatory system. A consistent body of research has shown that omega-3 fatty acid insufficiency is linked to a heightened inflammatory state. Ancient diets were considered to have an omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid ratio of close to 4 to 1. In modern diets, this ratio has been measured as high as 30 to 1, meaning there is excess fatty acids of the type that fuels inflammation. Providing additional omega-3 fatty acids combined with reducing excessive omega-6 fatty acids in the diet can help restore this balance to more ideal levels. Also, omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to favorably affect genes involved in the anti-inflammatory system.
Krill are tiny shrimp-like creatures that live in the cold water oceans. Much like omega-3-rich fish, krill consume algae from which they derive their rich abundance of omega-3 EPA and DHA. Krill oil fatty acids exist in a phospholipid form, while fish oil fatty acids are found in triglyceride form. Phospholipid-derived fatty acids are more easily absorbed and appear to be more readily taken up into tissues.
