Protein Benefits

Protein Provides Sulfur

In addition to a wide variety of amino acids important to metabolism, protein is also the most important source of sulfur compounds in our diet. The daily needs for sulfur are fairly high, around 5 grams per day.  The connective tissue that makes up our joints requires fairly constant amounts of sulfur for maintenance and repair.  Many people do not get enough sulfur in the diet to meet these needs of joint repair.
