You Have Control Over Your Joint Pain and Osteoarthritis
What You Must Know About Joint Pain
A recent survey by the Arthritis Foundation found that 67 percent of respondents were at risk for arthritis, but 52 percent didn't know it. More than half (51 percent) said they had no plans to see their doctor about the health of their joints.
Our site and our program are built on one simple idea--that you can improve the health of your joints by addressing the lifestyle factors that are now deemed to be important in fostering fluid, mobile joints.
Our joints are under constant exposure to stressors. We now know what many of these are: Factors that can cause your joints to literally “bathe” in a sea of irritant molecules. But it is important to know that a joint is not comprised of just one tissue. It is made of bone, cartilage, a delicate synovial membrane, nerve (pain) fibers, pressure receptors, lubricating fluid, and other features.
While many people look at a joint as a simple machine structure with bone and cartilage, it is much more. A joint is a dynamic and living thing. We believe that attention to the many components that make up a joint can ease the irritation to those components that lead to pain.
We believe the process of joint injury over time is not inevitable. In fact, we expect that you will be surprised at the factors that lead to joint pain and about how many of the processes are under your control to one degree or another. There is now strong evidence that if you modify these biological stressors, you will have a significant impact on your joint health. This site will show you some of main factors that threaten your joints and it will give the tools to take control of the future of your joints.
We believe that you can change your life and change your joints.
